Servings 4-6 Prep Time 20 minutes Cook Time 3 minutes

1 Eggs
3/4 cup Milk
Just a pinch Seasoning - Chili Powder
3/4 cup Cornstarch, divide into 1/2 cup and 1/4 cup
1/2 cup Cornmeal
2 tablespoons Dill (fresh), chopped
1 1/2 tablespoons Seasoning - Basil
2 teaspoons Seasoning - Paprika
sprinkle Seasoning - Salt
sprinkle Seasoning - Black Pepper
3 dozen slices Pickles (dill), cold and sliced
about 2 inches deep in pan Vegetable Oil
enough to dip the pickles in Ranch Dressing

In bowl one, pour 1/4 cup cornstarch.

In bowl two, beat 1 egg, 3/4 cup milk, and a sprinkle or so of chili powder.

In bowl three, mix 1/2 cup cornstarch, 1/2 cup cornmeal, dill OR basil, 2 tsp paprika, and salt and pepper.

One by one, dip the pickles in bowl 1 (cornstarch), then bowl 2 (the egg wash), and then bowl 3 (the cornmeal mixture). Place each of them on the empty plate when done.

Heat about 2 inches of vegetable oil in a pan on a medium heat until the oil reaches about 375 degrees.

Place a layer of pickles in the oil and cook for about 3 minutes until they are golden brown. This may need to be done in several batches.

Drain the fried pickles on a paper towel.

Serve with ranch dressing and enjoy!
