Servings: 4
Prep Time: 10 minutes
Cook Time: 10 minutes
Ingredients
to taste Seasoning - Salt
to taste Seasoning - Black Pepper
4 chicken breast halves Chicken - Breast, skinless, boneless pounded to 1/2" thickness
1 Eggs, beaten
2 tablespoons Flour - All Purpose
1 cup (for frying) Vegetable Oil
1 cup Bread Crumbs - Panko

Cooking Directions

1. Season the chicken breasts on both sides with salt and pepper. Place the flour, egg and panko crumbs into separate shallow dishes. Coat the chicken breasts in flour, shaking off any excess. Dip them into the egg, and then press into the panko crumbs until well coated on both sides.

2. Heat 1/4 inch of oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Place chicken in the hot oil, and cook 3 or 4 minutes per side, or until golden brown.

It was so good! We couldn't decide on what to do with two breasts of chicken so I found this recipe and it was so good. I used regular bread crumbs and added italian seasoning, oregano, and garlic salt to the flour and bread crumbs to give some flavor....YUM!!!

Great recipe. I love panko bread crumbs (they keep extra crispy) and didn't have any eggs so used olive oil instead. I also used flavored panko bread crumbs for better seasoning.

I forgot the salt and pepper, too, but I don't think this was the reason I had some trouble. Maybe I just didn't dip the chicken in the egg enough, but I had a problem with the Panko sticking! By the end of it, the majority of the chicken just looked regularly cooked rather than Panko-encrusted. I bought two boxes of Panko at the store, though - I'll be trying it again!

First time I've used Panko believe it or not. Was absolutely amazing! I did forget the salt & Pepper while I was multitasking. I had company over and we weren't sure the kids would eat it, so I added some spaghetti, pasta sauce and italian cheese and called it Chicken Parmesan.

I think frying in vegetable oil will make the fat content too high. Suggestion: Bake in oven or if you must fry, use olive oil or canola oil.

Breading could be better seasoned, but overall good
