Slow Cooker Mashed Potatoes

Ingredients
1/2 cup Butter
1 Tablespoon Garlic, minced
6 Ounces Sour Cream
8 Ounces Cream Cheese
5 Pounds (peeled and cut into chunks) Potatoes - Red
3 Cubes Chicken Bouillon

Cooking Directions


1. Fill large pot with water. Add bullion cubes, minced garlic and potatoes. Bring water to a boil. Boil potatoes until tender, about 20 minutes. Drain potatoes, but save the water.

2. Mash the potatoes with cream cheese and sour cream, adding water to get desired consistency.

3. Put into a crock pot and cook on low for 2-3 hours. Just before serving, add butter, salt and pepper to taste.

This was very good. I dont understand what was the point of the slow cooker. The potatoes seemed almost the same (I tasted them) before I put them in as when I took them out. Also, dont add extra liquid thinking the slow cooker will dry it out.
